Two Rivers Short Story Contest Reading

Two Rivers Short Story Contest Logo
May is Short Story Month!

Short stories are a fantastic medium for experimentation, both for readers and writers! Anthologies and short fiction magazines are great places for readers to find their new favorite authors. For authors, short stories are a space where they can find their voice, play with new ideas, and take their first steps into the publishing world.

To celebrate this classic format, we’re holding a short story contest, culminating in a public reading on Saturday, May 31st at Two Rivers Bookstore!

10 writers will be chosen to have their work performed at a public reading at Two Rivers Bookstore on May 31st. One winner will be selected for the Grand Prize, and there will be two runners-up! The Grand Prize is a “Writer’s Basket” consisting of a blank Leuchtturm journal, a copy of The Business of Being a Writer (2nd Edition), and a 30 minute mentoring session with Wendy Wagner, editor-in-chief of Nightmare Magazine and managing editor of Lightspeed Magazine.

Come join us at Two Rivers Bookstore to hear the winners read their work!

Submissions are now closed.
